DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) Are you looking for a relaxing and enjoyable part-time job?

The Parks and Recreation Department in Darlington County is looking for caretaker and ranger for Lake Darpo. The individual hoping to fill that position will live in the park in the caretaker residence in order to meet the position's requirements. The Parks and Recreation Department prefers candidates that do not currently have a full-time job, are retired, on disability or un-employed. Position compensation is based on free housing, electricity, and telephone based on a fair market estimate for:

• Housing at $600.00 per month
• Electricity up to $100 per month
• Local telephone service

Housing Explanation

Caretaker/Ranger residence is located on site at Lake Darpo.  The house is one story cinder block house with framed addition on front and back set upon a block foundation.  The house is approximately 1000 square feet.  Kitchen nook, den, office, 1 ½ bath, 2 bedrooms.  Central heating and air.
