SC Dept. of Public Safety releases weekend fatality report | News

SOUTH CAROLINA (WMBF) The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announced Monday that preliminary numbers show two people killed on South Carolina highways this weekend.
Between 6 p.m. on Friday, March 2 and midnight on Sunday, March 4, authorities reported that five individuals were fatally wounded in accidents in South Carolina.
Year to date, 116 people have been killed on SC roadways. That's three less than 123 fatalities recorded on March 4, 2011.
Since the beginning of 2012, the following totals have been recorded for fatal accidents by county:
- 2 - Darlington
- 3 - Dillon
- 6 - Florence
- 2 - Georgetown
- 4 - Horry
- 1 - Marion
- 0 - Marlboro
