FMU’S SGA President elected governor of SC Student Legislature
SOUTH CAROLINA – Cody Simpson, a senior from the Home Branch community of Clarendon County, will follow in the footsteps of former S.C. Gov. Robert McNair, Lee Atwater, U.S. Rep. Liz Patterson and S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster and other notable leaders, serving as governor of the S.C. Student Legislature (SCSL).
Simpson, who is the president of the FMU Student Government Association (SGA), was elected governor by delegates from universities across the state and will take office in January.
